Happy Spring, Hipcooks!

Here's to us all making it out of the rain, plenty of green, and the bounty of Spring.
This is what we're jazzed about this month:
  • New classes are posted at Hipcooks EastLA, WestLAPortland and Seattle! (Last of Cheese Whiz, Freeee, and Spring in Paris, so hop to it, rabbits!)
  • The Cheese Whiz, this Sunday, WestLA, 11 am:  Learn to make wonderful ricotta in 1/2 hours time, plus chevre, mozzarella, mascarpone and then eat them all! This Sunday will be the last Cheese class in a while, so we hope to see you there!
    • Roasted tomatoes filled with fresh ricotta
    • Goat Cheese and Fromage Fort with french bread
    • Pizza bianca with fresh Mozzarella
    • Poached apricots stuffed with Mascarpone, rolled in pistachio
  • I'm Freeeee!  Our Gluten-free class that is sooooo mcuh more. A wonderful class for a leaner, better you! Last chance for this delicious recipie-packed 4 hour session at WestLA and Portland (Until Fall)
  • Brown Baggin' It: Learn and make fabulous healthy lunches to pack to work. This class meets on a Sunday, because you get lunches for the whole week. You bring: the willpower not to eat them all before Friday! EastLA's got it, you lucky devils.
  • Cinco de Mayo! We've got the fiesta happening with Holy Mole! (our Mexican class with Margaritas and Mole, mmm) EastLA, WestLA, Pdx.
  • Mother's Day classes - Mother's Day is May 8th - ALL studios are serving up lovely Mother's Day Brunch classes. Bring your Mums and have a hoot!  Here's to Mother's, and Cooking!
  • Artwalk in East Los Angeles! Mark your calendars.  April 16th and 17th, 11 - 6 pm.  Never been?  It is one of those things that is really worth doing in LA.  What is it?  Open studios at the largest art colony in the world - see what the 700 people in this community are up to, check out art, interiors of loft spaces, make new friends.  Stop by Hipcooks East, where it is always rockin'. 
  • Hipcooks Teaching Assistants - we need you! If you have been to 2 Hipcooks classes as a student - you qualify for our Assistantship Program, where you can assist and then take Hipcooks classes for free. (Did you hear me say "free?". Yeah!) We are currently looking for more assistants for all our studios, so if you are interested please respond to me with "Assistant" and your preferred Hipcooks location in the subject line.
  • We're tentatively annoucing the first of the warm weather classes, Hip hip hooray - Thrill of the Grill is back!  WestLA and PDX, on May 21.  EastLA on May 22. LA will hopefully be nice.  In Pdx, bring your umbrella just in case!
